¡Hola!
What a crazy week! Changes, Christmas caroling, Christmas party, Virgin Day, and a great week of preaching the Gospel of Christ! This week has been absolutely exhausting but wonderful as well! Part of the wonderful/craziness is my new comp Elder Wolford! He was a district leader in the zone so I got to know him a bit this past cycle. I'm pumped because he's just a big bowl of fun and a crazy hard worker. He's just an awesome missionary and I know that we are going to have a great Christmas/cycle. Our goal: Greatest companionship Mexico has ever seen! The day of changes was insane and it was hard to say goodbye to a lot of awesome people, but Wolford and I were ready to hit the ground running after we got home. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday we worked really hard and had some great lessons and contacts. It's a great feeling when you can feel the unity in your teaching as a companionship within the first week. That is always a good sign. Thursday night we and the rest of our district went Christmas caroling to some investigators and less-actives in the branch. The young women who was baptized 2 weeks ago came along with us. Our throats are tired and probably bleeding, but Christmas caroling is always so much fun and it felt good to mix it up a bit. Friday was the 2016 Mexico City Southeast Mission Christmas Fiesta! It looked a little different this year because we had close to 200 missionaries last year and this year we are only about 125. However, we had an incredible time! This year we had a White Elephant gift exchange. It was hilarious and an obvious success. Let's just say that life in Mexico can produce an array of interesting and crazy gift ideas. I decided to give away a 'Dear John Emergency Kit.' Elder Wolford put together a 'After Eating Street Tacos Emergency Kit.' It was fun. We spent most of the day playing volleyball and chatting with all our wonderful friends. I loved every single moment of that day. So after a long week of work and Christmas joy, we spent all day yesterday locked inside our house for the annual 'Virgin Day' on the 12th of December. I washed clothes for 3 hours by hand, then we cleaned and created a Brinner feast fit for kings. Finally, I finished the day getting caught up on a few things I've neglected to do for the past few days. Overall, it was a pretty productive day. So there you have it. Christmas, friends, memories, hardwork, happiness and a whole bunch of Gospel Sharing. Love this time of year and love my mission! Have a great week everyone! con mucho amor, Elder Foust
